Edition 2025 — En Plein Air Nonantola

In May 2025, the tenth edition of En Plein Air, the painting competition organised by the NonantolArte group of the La Clessidra association, was held in Nonantola. As tradition dictates, artists from various Italian regions painted the historic centre and the landscapes of the Partecipanza Agraria from life, accompanied by the usual side activities in the village.

The tenth edition of En Plein Air confirmed the success of an event that, since 2015, has enlivened the historic centre of Nonantola (Modena) every spring.

The plein air painting competition saw the participation of painters from all over Italy, invited to interpret the village views, the Abbey, and the countryside of the Partecipanza Agraria with canvases and palettes. The resulting works were then judged by a jury and awarded, with a final exhibition open to the public. Around the competition, the programme included a market, guided walks, and cultural events for families and visitors.
