Empoli Carnival — Another Carnival

In 2025, Empoli experienced the rebirth of its Carnival with the first edition titled "Mela Ridens. Another Carnival", spread over three days: Sunday, January 26, Saturday, February 8, and Saturday, February 22. The inaugural "Melaparata" brought Burlamacco and Ondina, the official masks of the Viareggio Carnival, to the city.

Alongside the parades, the program offered a treasure hunt through the streets of the center, workshops to create cardboard masks, singing workshops, clown incursions, and musical shows for adults and children. Throughout the period, until March 4, the historic center hosted an urban art trail inspired by sustainability with 17 large artist-designed apples provided by the Viareggio Carnival Foundation. All events were free of charge.
