Empedocle Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Empedocle Carnival brought color and joy back to the streets of Porto Empedocle, in the Agrigento area. As per tradition, the days were marked by parades of papier-mâché floats, created by local masked groups after months of craftsmanship, and accompanied by music, dancing, and costumed groups.

In this edition as well, a central role was entrusted to children and schoolchildren, who were the protagonists with dances and costumes along the route through the town's main squares. The event, organized by the Carnevale Empedoclino Cultural Association with free admission, consolidated the success of a festival capable of involving the entire community of Porto Empedocle.
