Edition 2025 — Emissario Trekking

The 6th edition of the Emissario Trekking took place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Capistrello, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. An 11 km hiking route with a 300-meter elevation gain, tracing the Claudian Emissary during the 160th anniversary of the drainage of Lake Fucino. Meeting at Piazza del Municipio, with a 10-euro fee including shuttle and medical assistance.

Emissario Trekking 2025 — 6th Edition

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Capistrello hosted the sixth edition of the Emissario Trekking, organized by the Amici dell'Emissario Association. The event fell in a symbolic year, marking the 160th anniversary of the drainage of Lake Fucino.

The day, running from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, followed an 11 km route with a 300-meter elevation gain and hiking difficulty (E): guided tour of the Ferraro drainage tunnel, scenic ascent of Monte Salviano, picnic near Pozzo Gaetano, and a final trail toward the Liri River outlet. The meeting point was Piazza del Municipio, with a bus departure at 8:00 AM; the 10-euro participation fee included shuttle service and medical assistance, with mandatory booking.
