Edition 2025 — EMACNS Catania

The EMACNS is a biennial traveling European event; the 2026 Catania edition was awarded to the city as a first for Sicily. In the preceding two-year period, the European Masters Athletics Championships circuit visited other locations on the continent, maintaining the non-stadia discipline format (road running, race walking, cross-country, and Nordic walking) before arriving at the Lungomare Playa in Catania.

The road to Catania 2026

The EMACNS - European Masters Athletics Championships Non Stadia is a biennial event that rotates between different European cities. Before being awarded to Catania, in Sicily, for the 2026 edition, the European Masters Athletics circuit continued its journey through the continental calendar of European Masters Athletics, maintaining the format of non-stadia events: road running, race walking, cross-country relays, and Nordic walking. The arrival in the Etnean capital represents an absolute novelty for the region and an opportunity to bring hundreds of master athletes from all over Europe to Sicily.
