Elpidiense Carnival

The Elpidiense Carnival 2025 confirmed the tradition of a widespread popular festival in the districts and the historic center of Sant'Elpidio a Mare, in the Fermo area. Among the most cherished events was the Festa dei Folli in its second edition, scheduled for Sunday, February 16, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM in Piazza Matteotti. The square became an open-air stage with the arrival and coronation of King Carnival, jugglers, jesters, and street artists, a medieval tavern with typical sweets, and, as a novelty, music with period instruments. The day concluded with the trial and final burning of King Carnival, according to the traditional rite.
