The 2025 edition of the Elba Musical Island of Europe Festival, directed by George Edelman, brought sixteen concerts and over sixty musicians from nineteen nations to the Island of Elba, with a program titled "Sound routes between sky and sea: from Bach to Arvo Pärt, from Ravel to jazz." The festival was inaugurated on Friday, August 29, by violinist Gidon Kremer.
The festival, spread across all the municipalities of Elba—including the municipality of Porto Azzurro, in the province of Livorno—saw the participation of artists such as Martha Argerich, Mario Brunello, Fabrizio Bosso, and Edgar Moreau, confirming the festival's vocation to unite big names of the international scene with places of rare beauty on the island.
