Elba Book Festival

The eleventh edition of the Elba Book Festival was held from July 15 to 18, 2025, in Rio nell'Elba, on the Island of Elba, with the theme "Chiavi di volta", an architectural image chosen by artistic director Marco Belli to evoke the role of culture in moments of crisis and rapid change.

In Piazza del Popolo, stands were set up for about twenty independent publishing houses, while Piazza Matteotti hosted the evening meetings. Among the most popular events were the debate "50 years without Pasolini" with Dacia Maraini, Loredana Lipperini, and Aldo Nove, the lecture by Daniela Lucangeli, and the meeting on Andrea Camilleri with Gaetano Savatteri. The Lorenzo Claris Appiani Prize for translation from Turkish was awarded to Fulvio Bertuccelli, while the final evening featured the presentation of the Demetra Prize and a climate debate with Ermete Realacci.
