Edition 2025 — Eboli Cult
Eboli Cult 2025, the confirmation
The second edition of Eboli Cult consolidated the formula born the previous year, with the Arena Cult set up in Piazza della Repubblica and its over two hundred seats acting as the center of gravity for the festival. The literary section, from May 24 to June 19, 2025, brought to Eboli the journalist Serena Bortone, the Strega Prize winner Mario Desiati with Malbianco, Sergio Rizzo, Francesco Giorgino, the theologian Vito Mancuso, and the poet Franco Arminio, who closed the cycle with a reading. The program also included a tribute to Pino Daniele and a meeting dedicated to the theme of domestic violence.
On June 18, the first awards ceremony of the Matteo Ripa Literary Prize was held. In July, the event continued with the second edition of the MedFilm Festival in Eboli, from July 19 to 22, with feature films and short films from the Mediterranean screened at the Arena Cult, and with the medieval festival Eboli Città Sveva, on July 25 in the old town, featuring falconry, a medieval market, encampments, and flag-wavers. All events were free of charge.
