Easter and Saint Gregory the Great Feast / Fera o Luni / Paternò Jousting Tournament

The 2025 edition united faith, tradition, and community. It opened with Palm Sunday (April 13) and the blessing of the palms, continued with the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral in Catania and the "In Coena Domini" Mass on Holy Thursday (April 17), the Passion liturgy and the city Way of the Cross on Good Friday (April 18), and concluded with the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday (April 19), accompanied by the painting exhibition of Giuseppe Maccarrone and the 26th Saint Gregory the Great Trophy.

On Easter Sunday (April 20), cannon shots at dawn and brass bands opened the day, which culminated in the solemn exit of the patron saint's statue and fireworks. On Easter Monday (April 21), the traditional Fera o Luni took place, featuring the parade of Sicilian carts, the Paternò Historical Pageant, and the Jousting Tournament at Piano Immacolata.
