Earth Festival

29th edition - September 15-21, 2025

The twenty-ninth Earth Festival enlivened Casalincontrada (Chieti) for a full week, from September 15 to 21, 2025, with the theme "Healthy Living - Healthy Housing". From Monday to Friday, the CeDTerra of Villa De Lollis remained open (10:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:00) with free and guided tours of the documentation center and raw earth architectural sites.

Among the most evocative moments, the "Dawn Concert" on Wednesday, September 17 at 6:30 AM at La Casa di Teresa, featuring film soundtracks for transverse flute and keyboard. On Friday the 19th, the screening of the video "The Guardians of Earth Houses" gathered testimonies from mayors of the last thirty years.

Saturday, September 20 was the highlight: in the morning, the working table on the census of earth houses with the screening of "Matter and Memory" by Tiziana Francavilla, and in the afternoon, the conference on cataloging and territorial planning, followed by the inauguration of the "The Earth Houses - Landscape of Architecture" photography exhibition (23rd photography competition). On Sunday the 21st, at 5:00 PM, the closing celebration with Abruzzo Balfolk and traditional Abruzzo dances in Piazza De Lollis.

Monday-Friday, September 15-19

• CeDTerra - Villa De Lollis open 10:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:00: free visits to the documentation center, library consultation, visits to earth architectural sites (guided upon reservation).

Wednesday, September 17

• 6:30 AM - "Dawn Concert" at La Casa di Teresa (Via Maiella 52): film soundtracks with transverse flute and keyboard.

Friday, September 19

• 7:30 PM - Video screening "The Guardians of Earth Houses" (Volavola company) with testimonies from mayors of the last 30 years.

Saturday, September 20

• 10:00 AM-12:00 PM - Working table on the census of earth houses; screening of the video "Matter and Memory" by Tiziana Francavilla.
• 4:00 PM-7:00 PM - Conference on census, cataloging, and territorial planning; inauguration of the "The Earth Houses - Landscape of Architecture" photography exhibition (23rd edition of the competition).

Sunday, September 21

• 5:00 PM - Abruzzo Balfolk and traditional Abruzzo dances in Piazza De Lollis (Paesi Danzanti Project).
