Earth Day Cefalù 2025 — 11th edition
From April 22 to 27, 2025, Cefalù hosted the eleventh edition of Earth Day, six days of events dedicated to the environment, sustainable tourism, and the rediscovery of local traditions.
Among the most attended events, the release of Caretta Caretta turtles in Piazza Colombo, on the Giardina seafront, managed by the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Sicily with WWF Sicily North-West and local sports associations. On Tuesday, April 22, the "Earth" sculpture was inaugurated in the Spinito district, while the calendar offered nature walks towards the Settefrati beach and meetings with geologist Mario Tozzi and Pierluigi Sassi, president of Earth Day Italia.
Promoted by the Municipality of Cefalù, the 2025 edition confirmed the formula of a widespread and free event, capable of combining environmental education, culture, and the promotion of the Sicilian village.
