In 2025, the Rifugio Averau, near the 5 Torri in Cortina d'Ampezzo, province of Belluno, confirmed its astronomical vocation with night sky observation events in collaboration with Astronomitaly.

Thanks to its altitude and the natural darkness of the location, awarded GOLD certification by Astroitalia, enthusiasts were able to observe stars and planets in an exceptional setting, immersed in the UNESCO Dolomites landscape.
