DRIFFest – Of the Story, the Film

The 16th edition of DRIFFest – Of the Story, the Film was held from June 17 to July 26, 2025, with 21 evenings spread across Bari, Giovinazzo, Modugno, Rutigliano, and Sannicandro di Bari, in addition to evenings at the Turi and Trani prisons. The festival featured high-profile titles such as The Room Next Door by Pedro Almodóvar and Emilia Pérez by Jacques Audiard, opening on June 17 in Bari with the film Criature in the presence of actress Marianna Fontana.

Among the guests of the edition were writer Federico Pace, director Giuseppe Miale di Mauro, Nichi Vendola with a poetry reading in Rutigliano, and Wanda Marasco, winner of the 2025 Campiello Prize, with Di spalle a questo mondo. In 2025, the festival once again confirmed its social mission, bringing cinema and books inside prisons with the direct presence of the directors.
