Edition 2025 — Dramma Popolare

The 79th edition of the Dramma Popolare of San Miniato, themed "the ethics of responsibility," brought "Autodifesa di Caino" to Piazza del Duomo, an unpublished text by Andrea Camilleri performed and directed by Luca Zingaretti, with three performances on July 24, 25, and 26. A record-breaking edition, with over 4,000 total spectators for the Theatre Festival.

The 79th edition of the Dramma Popolare of San Miniato, dedicated to the theme of the ethics of responsibility, featured the headline show "Autodifesa di Caino", an unpublished text by Andrea Camilleri performed and directed by Luca Zingaretti. The three performances in Piazza del Duomo (July 24 world premiere, July 25 and 26) attracted 2,256 spectators. The Theatre Festival, spread across June and July with nine shows, closed with record numbers, exceeding 4,000 total attendees and confirming the festival as one of the benchmarks for civic and spiritual theatre in Tuscany.
