Drag Me Up - Queer Art Festival

Umanamente Eroə: the sixth edition

From November 3 to December 15, 2025, Drag Me Up traversed Rome with the subtitle Umanamente Eroə, dedicated to building a new shared vision of the future. The festival, conceived by Ondadurto Teatro and promoted by Roma Capitale, was among the winners of the Roma Creativa 365 call.

The program opened with a viral video project on social media signed by Margó Paciotti and Karma B, then unfolded into three artistic residencies at Centrale Preneste Teatro: Kings Chronicles by the Collettivo Per Colpa dei King, Spero che un sogno così non ritorni mai più by Ondadurto Teatro with H.E.R., and The Bovary Effect by Giuliano Scarpinato.

Alongside the residencies, three free online workshops (Chiara Becchimanzi, Mike Lupone, Cristina Prenestina), the drag costume workshop with La Diamond, the two Drag College appointments at Teatro Tor Bella Monaca and Teatro del Lido, the talk at the Goffredo Mameli Library, and the Diamond Dust exhibition at the Accademia Italiana. The closing was entrusted to two galas: December 14 at Teatro del Lido and December 15 at OFF/OFF Theatre.

November 29-30: Create your drag costume workshop with La Diamond, Centrale Preneste Teatro, free upon registration. December 2: The Bovary Effect as a talk-show, free admission. December 4: Drag College #1 at Teatro Tor Bella Monaca, free; inauguration of the Diamond Dust exhibition at Accademia Italiana. December 4-14: Diamond Dust exhibition, curated by Andrea Acocella/BAR.LINA with La Diamond, free admission. December 5: Drag... The Talk at Goffredo Mameli Library with Simone Alliva, Antonietta De Feo, Federica Di Martino, H.E.R., and Coatta Vegana, free. December 8: Spero che un sogno così non ritorni mai più show. December 9: Kings Chronicles show. December 12: Drag College #2 at Teatro del Lido, free. December 14: Drag Me Up Gala #1 at Teatro del Lido with Cristina Prenestina, Morgana Beckham, and Iwanda Sbelletti. December 15: Drag Me Up Gala #2 at OFF/OFF Theatre with Priscilla, La Diamond, and Mike Lupone.
