Donnalucata Cuttlefish Festival

The 2025 edition of the Donnalucata Cuttlefish Festival took place during the period of the San Giuseppe celebrations, the patron saint of the village, in the area in front of the small harbor of the seaside hamlet of Scicli (Ragusa).

The food stalls offered cuttlefish in numerous preparations - from spaghetti with ink to arancine, up to seafood main courses - elaborated by local chefs from the Ragusa area. The event was intertwined, as per tradition, with the Cavalcata di San Giuseppe, during which horses richly adorned with flower mantles paraded through the streets of the village, giving visitors a unique combination of taste, faith, and folklore.
