Donna in Ovindoli 2025: three villages, three days
The third edition of Donna in Ovindoli was held from August 2 to 4, 2025, expanding for the first time to three villages in the municipal territory with a cultural and sensory itinerary dedicated to women. On August 2, the festival stopped in Santa Jona with "Donna in... Medioevo" (Women in the Middle Ages), focusing on the female role in the medieval era. On August 3, it was Ovindoli's turn with "Donna in... Salute e Benessere" (Women in Health and Wellness): an afternoon dedicated to female physical and mental well-being, with an appointment at 5 PM in the Salotto di Largo dell'Assunta, covering topics such as menopause, longevity, health differences between men and women, and the role of physiotherapy.
On August 4, the festival concluded in San Potito, in Piazza V Agosto, with "Donna in... Arte" (Women in Art), dedicated to the female contribution to the art world: from archaeological findings of the Roman villa attributed to Emperor Lucius Verus to the female figure in sacred art. Guests included athlete Natalia D'Angelo, director of 'L'Aia dei Musei' Flavia De Sanctis, artist Rosanna Flaviani, and singer Annalaura Lacalamita with tracks from her album 'Complicata', coordinated by journalist Luisa Novorio. The initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Ovindoli and the Centro Giuridico del Cittadino, confirmed the festival's vocation to enhance the villages of the Marsica region alongside themes of female culture.
