Domenica in Albis Festival (Duminica Nuedda)

The 2025 edition of the Domenica in Albis in Capizzi renewed the ancient tradition of the Duminica Nuedda, celebrated on the Sunday following Easter.

After the solemn morning Mass at the Mother Church of San Nicola di Bari, the seven brotherhoods of the town brought the solemn procession to life, each recognizable by its own color and insignia — drums, banners, pennants, torches, and crucifixes. The statues of Saint John Bosco and the Madonna delle Grazie, adorned with gold and votive jewelry, traversed the village streets amidst the participation of the faithful, in a day that confirmed the festival as one of the most heartfelt identity-defining events for the Nebrodi community.
