Edition 2025 — DocuDonna
The 7th edition of DocuDonna was held in Massa Marittima on October 18 and 19, 2025, between the Sala dell'Abbondanza and the Cinema Goldoni, centered around the theme "R-Existence": resistance understood as an inner and collective effort in the face of the transformations of the present.
In competition were nine documentaries from Italy, the United States, Palestine, Canada, Lithuania, and Iran. Among the titles were Amor by Virginia Eleuteri Serpieri, Finis Terrae by Marzia Rumi, Women for Iran by Sara Hourngir, and The Eternal Song by Zaya and Maurizio Benazzo. There was also space for a focus on Palestine (DocuDonna meets Nazra) and a workshop curated by Guendalina Salini.
The jury, composed of actress Francesca Romana Bergamo and photographer Pino Bertelli, awarded the prizes for Best Italian Documentary (Amor), Best International Documentary (The Eternal Song), and the Special Mention (Vibrations from Gaza). The festival was organized by the Gremigna Association with the Municipality of Massa Marittima and the Fondazione CR Firenze, under the artistic direction of Cristina Berlini, supported by Letizia Papi.
