Edition 2025 — Disfida degli Arcieri Tournament

The 2025 edition of the Disfida degli Arcieri di Terra e Corte took place in Fivizzano from July 11th to 13th. For three days, the Medici village of Lunigiana returned to the 16th century with costumed processions, flag-wavers, and Renaissance music, culminating in the traditional archery competition between the five districts to win the palio.

2025 Edition

The Disfida degli Arcieri di Terra e Corte took place in Fivizzano, in the province of Massa-Carrara, from July 11 to 13, 2025. Once again, Piazza Medicea served as the backdrop for the re-enactment of the 1572 contest.

The five districts—Terra, Guardia, Verrucola, Fittadisio, and Montechiaro—battled it out in the archery competition, preceded by the historical procession featuring musicians, halberdiers, ladies, knights, and flag-wavers. Renaissance dinners and food stalls completed the three-day event.
