Discovering the Dittany

The 2025 edition of Discovering the Dittany took place, as is tradition, in early June, coinciding with the blooming of the Dictamnus albus in the Valle del Campanaro of Poggio Picenze (AQ). Organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the association Silvatica Ergo Sum, the day offered the now-customary formula: the guided hike on the Sentieri delle 3 Pietre, in search of the delicate Dittany flowers, a moment of nature education, and the convivial lunch in a mountain hut.

Immersed in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park area, the event reaffirmed the value of slow, local tourism, capable of combining the discovery of Apennine biodiversity with the sense of belonging of the Poggio Picenze community.
