Dining with Trilussa

The 2025 Archeocucina cycle

Before the event dedicated to Trilussa, the Archeocucina format at Le Terrazze al Colosseo had already taken shape during 2025 on the rooftop of Via Capo d'Africa, in the Celio district of Rome. The structure was the same as that proposed in 2026: a tasting dinner built around the chosen era, live theatrical interludes, and historical narrative work, all with the Flavian Amphitheatre illuminated in the background.

The documented evening of November 21, 2025, from 8:30 PM, was titled Dining with Augustus and Nero and reconstructed the imperial menus of ancient Rome with dishes inspired by Apicius's cookbook, accompanied by period atmospheres and theatrical performances. There are no sources confirming an evening dedicated to Trilussa during 2025: the appointment with the Roman poet is documented for the first time in June 2026, within the same cycle.
