Edition 2025 — Dining with the Shepherd

The 2025 edition of Dining with the Shepherd took place in Mattinata in early August, confirming itself as one of the most cherished events of the Gargano summer. Through tastings of cheeses and local products, stories of pastoral culture, and folk music, the evening celebrated the identity of the transhumance and the world of the shepherd in the heart of the Gargano National Park.

In the summer of 2025, Dining with the Shepherd enlivened Mattinata, in the province of Foggia, with an evening dedicated to the flavors and traditions of the Gargano pastoral culture. The public was able to taste the local dairy products and rediscover the gestures and stories linked to the life of the shepherd, accompanied by Gargano folk music. The event, included in the summer schedule of the Municipality of Mattinata, reaffirmed the identity value of a heritage that unites gastronomy, nature, and peasant memory.
