The eleventh edition of DIG Festival was held in Modena from September 24th to 28th, 2025, confirming the event as the leading European gathering for investigative journalism. Over five days, more than one hundred events took place in various venues in the city center, including Cinema Astra, Collegio San Carlo, and the Department of Law at the University of Modena, home of the DIG Academy.

The program intertwined documentary screenings, DIG Talks, workshops, exhibitions, and concerts, addressing the major issues of current affairs: the conflict in Gaza, the climate crisis, new forms of fascism, organized crime, artificial intelligence, and attacks on press freedom. Among the international guests were British documentarian Louis Theroux, Francesca Albanese, writer Marco D'Eramo, Edwy Plenel, and Roberto Scarpinato. The five-day event concluded with the awarding of the DIG Awards 2025 and the DIG Pitch.
