Edition 2025 — Desmontegada

In 2025, the Desmontegada celebrated the return of livestock from the pastures in Santa Fosca di Selva di Cadore, with a parade of animals adorned in festive attire. Two days of music, dancing, typical foods, and Ladin folklore animated Val Fiorentina, renewing the ritual of transhumance, a UNESCO cultural heritage, in the heart of the Belluno Dolomites.

The 2025 edition of the Desmontegada took place on the second weekend of September in Santa Fosca di Selva di Cadore. The transhumance festival featured the parade of adorned livestock returning from the summer pastures of Val Fiorentina, accompanied by music, dancing, and typical foods. Organized by the Magnifica Regola di Selva di Cadore, it reaffirmed the community's strong connection with the alpine tradition of the province of Belluno.
