2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Mòcheno carnival was held on Tuesday, March 4, on Shrove Tuesday, in Palù del Fersina, in the Mòcheni Valley. The masks of the Bètscho and Bètscha, accompanied by the Òiartroger, traveled through the farms and streets of the village to spread wishes for abundance and fertility.
The central moment in Piazza Lenzi featured the humorous reading of the testament and the distribution of the auspicious cake, according to the tradition that also aims to ward off the sight of snakes in the fields. The day closed with the grand evening bonfire, confirming the vitality of one of the most authentic carnival traditions in Trentino.
