Edition 2025 — Dead Christ Contigliano

In 2025, the Dead Christ Procession of Contigliano was held on Friday, April 18, departing at 8:30 PM from the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo. As per tradition, about 250 participants accompanied the statues of the Dead Christ and the Sorrowful Mother through the historic center, followed by the Passion play titled «Yeshua».

The 2025 edition

On April 18, 2025, Contigliano, in the Province of Rieti, renewed its traditional Dead Christ Procession. The procession departed at 8:30 PM from the Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo, traveling along Via della Repubblica and the streets of the historic center with about 250 costumed participants.

At the end of the procession, the Good Friday Parish Group presented the Passion play titled «Yeshua», intensely retracing the final hours of Jesus' life up to the crucifixion at the foot of the Collegiate Church. As every year, the entire community participated with great devotion in this defining event for the village.
