De Rerum Natura in Frattura Vecchia

The 2025 edition of De Rerum Natura renewed the summer appointment in the village of Frattura Vecchia, a hamlet of Scanno (AQ), following the path traced by previous editions. In 2025, the focus remained on the wheat threshing re-enactment using traditional agricultural practices, accompanied by folk music and performers in the traditional costumes of the Sagittario Valley villages. Around the re-enactment, the gastronomic trail with local producers, children's workshops dedicated to nature, bread-making, and beekeeping, and the promotion of the Fagiolo Bianco di Frattura—an indigenous variety included in the Slow Food Ark of Taste—took center stage. The De Rerum Natura APS association thus continued its project against the depopulation of the inland areas of Abruzzo, also carrying forward the "A Bean to Grow" initiative with a social garden for local children.
