Edition 2025 — Dance Tarantella
August 12, 2025, at the Pietro De Luca Amphitheatre
Dance Tarantella took place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Pietro De Luca Amphitheatre in Torre Orsaia, in the province of Salerno. The event featured a concert-show built on the encounter between the tradition of the tarantella and the languages of electronic music: Mediterranean rhythms and contemporary beats, accompanied by lights and projections on a large-scale set design.
The evening was completed by a food area with local specialties, a cocktail bar, and an after-show that allowed the public to continue dancing outdoors, under the stars.
In the Festival Tanager program
The event was part of the Festival Tanager, an inter-municipal project led by the Municipality of Polla and funded by the Campania Region through the 2021-2027 Development and Cohesion Fund and the Strategic Plan for Culture and Tourism. In Torre Orsaia, the festival was grafted onto the days of the patronal feast: two days earlier, on Sunday, August 10th, the historic center had hosted the sixteenth edition of the Historical Pageant of Saint Lawrence the Martyr, with over 250 costumed figures from the Roman era.
