DAB Festival – DanzaABari

The DAB Festival 2025 – DanzaABari took place in Bari from May 29 to June 7, 2025, spread across three city theaters: the Teatro Piccinni, the Teatro Kismet, and the Teatro Abeliano. The program offered two national exclusives and three regional exclusives, with the goal of bringing great international dance to the heart of Puglia.

Among the highlights were GISELLƏ by Nyko Piscopo with the Cornelia company, a queer and post-digital reinterpretation of the romantic ballet; the International Dance Encounters — a co-production between Equilibrio Dinamico and Area Jeune Ballet — and the OPÉRA! gala, which brought stars of the Paris Opéra Ballet to Bari, including étoile Hannah O'Neill. The festival also offered free masterclasses reserved for season ticket holders and a series of public meetings dedicated to contemporary dance, with a reduced ticket price of €10 for students of dance schools, dance high schools, and DAMS courses.

• June 1, Teatro Abeliano — Strangers in the Night, with Jos Baker, Linus Jansner, and Carlo Massari, inspired by Kafka's Metamorphosis.
• June 5 — Panoramic Banana, by Michele Di Stefano / mk company (regional exclusive).
• June 7, Teatro Kismet — OPÉRA!, gala with stars of the Paris Opéra Ballet, including étoile Hannah O'Neill.
