Edition 2025 — Chestnut Festival

The 22nd edition of the Chestnut Festival took place in Cutigliano on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, 2025. A weekend dedicated to the chestnut, a symbol of history, flavor, and local identity, featuring conferences, tastings, markets, excursions, and folk performances in the medieval village of the Pistoia Apennines.

2025 Edition — the 22nd Festival

The 22nd edition of the Chestnut Festival was held in Cutigliano (Abetone Cutigliano, PT) on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday, October 19, 2025. The weekend, dedicated to the chestnut as a symbol of history, flavor, and local identity, offered conferences, tastings of typical products, markets along the village streets, guided excursions to the chestnut supply chain, and folk performances in the afternoon.

The food stalls offered specialties of humble mountain cuisine — necci, castagnaccio, and marroni — while guided tours took visitors to discover the groves, drying huts, and mills, the heart of the chestnut tradition in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.
