Cultural Festival of the Rural Villages of the Laga

The 2025 edition (4th) of the Cultural Festival of the Rural Villages of the Laga had as its theme the rebalancing and social reconnection between urban areas and mountain zones, with a distributed calendar across three regions (Marche, Abruzzo, and Lazio), four provinces, and dozens of villages involved over many months.

In Acquasanta Terme (Province of Ascoli Piceno), the festival had two significant events. The first, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, coincided with the opening of the festival: the historic Piceno Carnival "Lu Zann" in the hamlets of Pito, Pozza, and Umito. The second, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, took place in Favalanciata with the "Pranzo delle fave" (Broad Bean Lunch), a feast dedicated to food culture and traditional legumes, with the Slow Food community of the village and a presentation by Professor Francesco Galiffa on the role of broad beans in past diets.
