Edition 2025 — Cucuzzata of Vitigliano

The 37th edition of the Cucuzzata Festival took place on Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3, 2025, in the Piazzetta degli Angeli in Vitigliano, Santa Cesarea Terme. Two evenings of Salento gastronomy and folk music, featuring the cucuzzata prepared according to the ancient peasant recipe. Free admission, with stalls opening at 8:00 PM. This edition followed the presentation of the cucuzzata at the BIT in Milan in February 2025.

37th Edition — August 2-3, 2025

The 2025 Cucuzzata Festival celebrated its 37th edition in the village of Vitigliano, part of Santa Cesarea Terme (LE), on August 2 and 3. In the charming Piazzetta degli Angeli, stalls opened from 8:00 PM, offering the cucuzzata in both simple and stuffed versions, along with traditional Salento specialties.

The two evenings were enlivened by folk music: on August 2, I Briganti di Terra d'Otranto, a group specializing in pizzica and Grika traditions, performed, while August 3 featured the band Italian Graffiti. The 2025 edition brought further visibility to the cucuzzata, which had been a highlight just months earlier at the International Tourism Exchange in Milan with the Mani in Pasta workshop.
