Edition 2025 — Cuccìa Festival

The 10th edition of the Cuccìa Festival and Santa Lucia Christmas Market took place in Casteltermini on Saturday, December 13th, and Sunday, December 14th, 2025, in Piazza Duomo. The Pro Loco "Chiuddia", with the patronage of the Municipality, distributed cuccìa enriched with pastry creams, while the Santa Lucia market enlivened the center with crafts, gastronomy, and Christmas items. Two days of tradition, flavors, and festive atmosphere to celebrate the tenth edition of the event.

2025 Edition: The Tenth Festival

The 10th Cuccìa Festival and Santa Lucia Christmas Market was held in Casteltermini (Agrigento) on Saturday, December 13th, and Sunday, December 14th, 2025, coinciding with the feast of Santa Lucia. The market opened its doors on Saturday from 10:00 AM and concluded in the evening, resuming on Sunday morning until 9:00 PM.

In Piazza Duomo, the Pro Loco "Chiuddia" distributed cuccìa, the traditional boiled wheat dish enriched with tasty variations of pastry creams, while the stalls of the Santa Lucia Christmas Market offered artisanal products, gastronomic specialties, and Christmas items. The event, accompanied by entertainment, confirmed its role as a guardian of an ancient Sicilian tradition for the community of Casteltermini.

Programme

Saturday, December 13th: Market opening from 10:00 AM; distribution of cuccìa at the Pro Loco stand. Sunday, December 14th: Market from morning until 9:00 PM; distribution of cuccìa and entertainment in Piazza Duomo.
