CRITA - Festival of the Arts

The 8th edition 2025 of CRITA - Festival of the Arts, titled 'Piantati in asso' in reference to the Asso Canal, the main watercourse crossing the partner municipalities, took place from July 21st to September 2025 under the direction of Gabriele Polimeno and Mary Negro for the Ventinovenove cooperative.

In Bagnolo del Salento, the festival offered two events: on August 1, 2025, Salento-based director and actor Mario Perrotta with 'Manuale di sopravvivenza', from his reinterpretation of 'Terra matta' by Vincenzo Rabito, as part of the 'Intrecci di storie' section; and on August 20, 2025, at Parco Vincenzo Iaconi, the show 'Du feiss' by the Ventinovenove cooperative, with Mary Negro and text by Angela de Gaetano and Gabriele Polimeno. The shows were held in the evening, with free admission and voluntary contributions, and required reservations.
