Edition 2025 — Crack! Festival

The twentieth edition of Crack! Disruptive Comics took place from June 19 to 22, 2025, at the C.S.O.A. Forte Prenestino in Rome with the theme FLESH, a reflection on bodies that have the power to represent themselves and those reduced to mere flesh. Four days of self-productions, exhibitions, textile and screen printing workshops, performances, and a musical program that spanned dub, rap, and experimental electronics.

Crack! FLESH — 20th edition

In 2025, Crack! celebrated its twentieth anniversary with the theme FLESH, which focused on the distance between bodies recognized as subjects, capable of producing their own representations, and those that remain only matter: a subtle space between carnality and carnage, investigated through comics and auteur printing.

The program brought to Forte Prenestino a large retrospective dedicated to the Canadian artist Henriette Valium, installations by David Vander (La Gilda) and Toni Hervas, the collective textile workshop Corporeità Desideranti, and the Wild Erotic Embroidery Workshop with Goga Mason, in addition to the always-open screen printing. On the musical front, Slava Bogu, KREBSindustries, Niña Ruido, Khateÿm, Ellie Cottino, and MC Yallah alternated, while Sunday was dedicated to reggae and dub with Sista Gaia and Dub Waves Project. There were also screenings, including the animations of Alive Outside and the documentary The Art of Disobedience.
