Edition 2025 — Cozza Castrense

The second edition of the Cozza Castrense Festival took place on July 11-12, 2025, in Castro Marina, with the official inauguration on Friday at 8:00 PM. Two evenings of mussel-based food stalls, Salento music, and social commitment, with the "Marevivo & Friends" project supporting the "Amici di Nico" autism center.

The second edition of the Cozza Castrense Festival enlivened Castro Marina on July 11 and 12, 2025, with the official opening on Friday at 8:00 PM in the presence of local administrators and authorities. Organized by Marevivo with the patronage of the Municipality of Castro, the event celebrated the cozza castrense in all its preparations: raw mussels, pasta with mussels, peppered mussels, fried seafood cones, octopus meatballs, seafood salad, and raw oysters.

The musical program combined entertainment and tradition: Friday, July 11 featured the "Balla Live in Tour" format with live music, DJ sets by Street Angel, vocalist Marco Abati, dancers, and a laser show; Saturday, July 12 featured a concert by Antonio Castrignanò with "Babilonia & Taranta sounds," blending pizzica and Mediterranean sounds. In this edition, the ASC-certified battered mussel won the "Innovative Product 2025" award at the TuttoFood Better Future Award.
