Edition 2025 — Cow Fights Cogne
In 2025, Cogne also hosted an elimination round of the Batailles de Reines, a stage of the Regional Competition. Aosta Valley cows competed in the arena by weight categories, in front of an audience of enthusiasts, vying for qualification for the regional final.
In 2025, the Cogne elimination confirmed the autumn appointment with the Batailles de Reines, the most beloved tradition of the Aosta Valley. In the arena at the foot of Gran Paradiso, Aosta Valley cows faced each other in peaceful wrestling matches, divided by weight category. The winners earned access to the regional final, the highlight of the season organized by the Association Amis des Batailles de Reines.
