Edition 2025 — CourentaMai

The 11th edition of CourentaMai took place over three dates and three locations: May 10 in Pessinetto Fuori, May 11 in Milan at the C.I.Q., and May 17 in Mezzenile at the Castello dei Conti Francesetti. Featuring workshops, concerts, and the Gran Bal, the edition celebrated "Insulas: more than ten years of Courenta Mai" with a special Finnish-themed day.

The eleventh edition of CourentaMai brought the courenta and the dances of linguistic minorities to three locations: Pessinetto Fuori (May 10), Milan at the Centro Internazionale di Quartiere (May 11), and Mezzenile, at the Castello dei Conti Francesetti (May 17).

The first two dates presented the project Insulas: more than ten years of Courenta Mai, with an overview of the dynamics of Italian linguistic minorities followed by traditional and folk dancing alongside Franco-Provençal and Occitan musicians Luca Teghillo, Flavio Giacchero, and Celeste Ruà. The day in Mezzenile was dedicated to Finnish tradition, with the guest trio Sähköpaimen and instruction in Finnish, Karelian, and Ingrian dances and melodies, with the participation of the local folk group Gli Scoiattoli and the spontaneous children's choir of Viù.
