Edition 2025 — Corsa delle Micce
In 2025, the Corsa delle Micce once again enlivened April 25th in Castiglion Fiorentino, in the traditional setting of the La Nave area, for the feast of the patron saint Mark the Evangelist. The district clubs faced off with their jockeys riding donkeys through heats, a final, and the usual local cheering, in one of the most beloved re-enactments of the Aretine Valdichiana.
The 2025 edition of the Corsa delle Micce renewed the April 25th appointment in La Nave, a district of Castiglion Fiorentino (Arezzo), on the day of the celebrations for the patron saint Mark the Evangelist.
As per tradition, the district clubs challenged each other with their jockeys riding the "micce" — the donkeys starring in the race — through qualifying heats and a final. A day of folklore and healthy village rivalry that brings the Castiglion community to the track every year.
