Edition 2025 — Corsa delle Botti

In 2025, the Corsa delle Botti took place in Costacciaro from October 17th to 19th. The spectacular challenge between barrels and barrel makers along the streets of the historic centre was preceded by a costume parade with figures and enlivened by taverns serving chestnuts and new wine, following the tradition linked to San Martino.

The 2025 edition of the Corsa delle Botti was held in Costacciaro from October 17th to 19th. The two barrels, pushed by teams of barrel makers, competed along the approximately 650-metre route in the historic centre, in multiple timed heats. The festival was enlivened by the costume parade with figures re-enacting peasant life scenes and by the taverns serving chestnuts and new wine, in the traditional atmosphere linked to the San Martino occasion.

Programme

Three days of festivities with the opening of taverns in the village (chestnuts and new wine), costume parade with figures re-enacting peasant life scenes, and the race between the two barrels pushed by the barrel maker teams, divided into multiple timed heats.
