Edition 2025 — Corsa della Torta

In 2025, the Corsa della Torta once again enlivened Easter Sunday in Oleggio, renewing its ancient tradition. The town dressed up for the occasion with a historical pageant in Renaissance costumes, while the eight districts and cantons competed in the customary foot race in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, before a large audience and in an atmosphere of heartfelt rivalry between the districts.

The 2025 edition of the Corsa della Torta confirmed Oleggio's strong bond with this centuries-old tradition. On Easter Sunday, the four districts (Portetta, Valle, Pozzolo, Porta Compietra) and the four cantons (Loreto, San Giovanni, Bedisco, Fornaci) paraded through the streets of the historic center, wearing the Renaissance costumes that characterize the Palio. The day concluded with the foot races and awards ceremony, in a setting of popular celebration that attracts locals and visitors from the Novara region every year.
