Edition 2025 — Corsa dei Capitani
The 19th edition of the Corsa dei Capitani took place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Cutigliano, in the heart of the Pistoia Apennines. The competitive race followed the classic 14.3 km route, with the highest point at La Cuccola (1040 m) and the finish in Piazza Catilina, while the non-competitive walk of about 6 km involved walkers and trekking enthusiasts. In the men's field, victory went to Luigi Pietrini (1h00'38"), while Beatrice Macelloni (1h20'08") triumphed among the women. Organized by the Pro Loco Cutigliano with ASD Silvano Fedi Pistoia and the provincial UISP League, the 2025 edition confirmed the race as one of the most beloved events of the Tuscan summer running season, blessed by good weather while it rained elsewhere.
