Corpus Domini 2025 in Viterbo

The 2025 edition of the Corpus Domini Procession was held on Thursday, June 19. The 6:00 PM Eucharistic concelebration, presided over by the Bishop of Viterbo, Monsignor Orazio Francesco Piazza, took place in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, in the heart of the Duomo hill.

At 7:00 PM, the solemn procession wound its way along a route that touched Piazza San Lorenzo, Via San Lorenzo, Via Cardinal La Fontaine, Via Annio, Via Cavour, Piazza del Plebiscito, Via Roma, Piazza delle Erbe, Corso Italia, and Piazza Giuseppe Verdi, concluding on Via Santa Rosa, at the Sanctuary of Santa Rosa, the city's patron saint.

The procession included, among others, the Confraternity of San Giuseppe, the Secular Franciscan Order, the Confraternity of the Gonfalone, the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Knights of Malta, along with diocesan priests and hundreds of the faithful. The Municipality of Viterbo had enforced a no-parking zone along the route from 4:00 PM and traffic restrictions from the late afternoon.
