Corpus Domini Flower Festival of Felline

The 2025 edition confirmed the vitality of a tradition that has been renewed in Felline, a hamlet of Alliste, since 2005. On the occasion of the Corpus Domini solemnity, celebrated on Sunday, June 22, the center of the village was covered in petals thanks to the work of the volunteers of the Apostolate of Prayer and dozens of families from the community.

The floral carpet, laid out along Via Immacolata, was created using the usual technique of hand-peeled petals and composed only in the late afternoon, a few hours before the procession. After the solemn mass in the Church of San Leucio Martire, the procession of the Blessed Sacrament crossed the floral work, releasing its fragrance and renewing a rite that unites faith and ephemeral art in the heart of Salento.
