Edition 2025 — Capannori Flower Carpets

In 2025, the Corpus Domini Flower Carpets once again colored the hamlets of Capannori, in the Lucca Plain. Local communities hand-prepared carpets of petals, seeds, and natural essences along the procession routes, confirming one of the most cherished traditions of the Capannori area. The displays, visible in the morning, were crossed in the afternoon by the processions of the Blessed Sacrament.

In 2025, the Corpus Domini Flower Carpets renewed the appointment with one of the most deep-rooted traditions of Capannori. In the hamlets of the municipality, communities set up the characteristic floral carpets, made with petals, seeds, and natural essences.

As per custom, the displays were visible mainly in the morning, while in the afternoon, the processions of the Blessed Sacrament crossed the carpets, according to the rite that gives meaning to this tradition: beauty created and then given away, without the desire to preserve it.
