The Carnival of children and families in the village of Corinaldo
The Corinaldo Carnival is the grand masked festival that annually enlivens the historic center of Corinaldo, a splendid walled village in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region. For an entire afternoon, the streets and squares enclosed by the imposing 15th-century walls fill with colors, confetti, and joy, welcoming especially the children and families of the area.
The heart of the event is the Carnival Village, a widespread path through the different spaces of the village featuring games, creative workshops, and entertainment. Among the offerings are themed areas, street performances, balloon sculpting, inflatables, and skill games designed for the little ones. Numerous costumed characters and lots of good music accompany the public along the streets, making the atmosphere lively from early afternoon until evening.
The celebration is concentrated in the historic center of Corinaldo, particularly in the spaces of Largo X Agosto 1944 and Largo XVII Settembre 1860, two symbolic places of the village. The natural backdrop of the historic center, with its walls, staircases, and alleys, contributes to making the Corinaldo Carnival a particularly evocative event in the panorama of Marche festivals.
Organized by the Municipality of Corinaldo, the Carnival is a free and family-friendly event: the focus is entirely on children, with recreational activities, entertainment, and shows that directly involve them. It is the ideal opportunity to experience the village on a festive day, combining the tradition of Carnival with the discovery of one of the most characteristic historic centers in the Marche and the entire province of Ancona.
The 2026 edition was held on Sunday, February 15, starting at 3:00 PM, in the historic center of Corinaldo. The village was transformed into a large Carnival Village dedicated to children and families.
Along the streets and in the squares, between Largo X Agosto 1944 and Largo XVII Settembre 1860, there were games, creative workshops, entertainment, inflatables, and activities for the little ones, accompanied by street performances, live music, and costumed characters.
The event had free and open admission and was designed especially for children and families.
Corinaldo is located in the hinterland of the province of Ancona. By car, it can be reached from the A14 motorway, exit at Senigallia, and then continue inland for about 15 km. The nearest train station is Senigallia, on the Adriatic line, connected to Corinaldo by bus services.
The event takes place in the afternoon in the historic center, with free and open access. The activities are designed for children and families.
