Edition 2025 — Coppieri Bonfire

In 2025, the Coppieri Bonfire was lit at nightfall on Sunday, February 16th, as part of the fires of freedom lit throughout the Waldensian Valleys on the eve of February 17th. The anniversary commemorated the 1848 Letters Patent, with the unified service on February 17th at the temple in the center of Torre Pellice and side events including the opening of the Waldensian Museum and a meeting at the Scroppo Gallery.

The 2025 edition confirmed the tradition: on Sunday, February 16th, commemorative fires were lit in various hamlets of the Pellice Valley, including Coppieri in Torre Pellice, in memory of the recognition of civil and political rights for Waldensians in 1848.

On February 17th, the celebrations culminated in the unified service at 10:15 AM at the town center temple. The day also included cultural moments, with a meeting at the Scroppo Gallery and the extended, free opening of the Waldensian Museum, while Torre Pellice combined the festival with a remembrance of the pro-European commitment linked to the Ventotene Manifesto.
