Convivio al Monte

"Glimpses between past and present"

From July 11 to 19, 2025, the Complesso Monumentale del Monte in Montella (Avellino) hosted the fifth edition of Convivio al Monte, promoted by the municipal administration and the Arciconfraternita del SS. Sacramento with schools, associations, and local businesses.

Exhibitions

The monastery's rooms hosted two exhibitions: "Dining with Apicius", dedicated to the ingredients and tools of ancient Roman cuisine, and "Montella as a story", a photographic journey with texts by Irpinian authors including Franco Arminio and Ettore de Conciliis.

Program

The inauguration on July 11, at 6:30 PM, combined theatrical guided tours by the Teatro di Gluck with tastings of Apician recipes. In the following days, performances by the Solot Compagnia Stabile di Benevento, concerts by the International Chamber Music Academy and the Kandinski Academy, the Klezmer Modern Quartet, and the traditional "Dawn Concert" alternated with food experiences and the Aperiforum by the Youth Forum. The edition commemorated the bicentenary of Scipione Capone and hosted writer Franco Festa with "The End of the Game".

Among the novelties of 2025, the inauguration of the historic pedestrian path that reconnects the Complesso del Monte to the town in the valley.
